  • Natural grassland is in fact the only agricultural culture where natural sources of biodiversity can be found. In anthropically influenced semi-natural vegetation, the biodeversity of species is inversely proportional to the intensity of human influence.The present aim is to reach the concord between the preservation of species biodeversity and the economic utilisation of permanent grasslands. The contribution evaluates small plot trials from the site at Jevíčko that were established in 2003 and that are aimed at sustainable management of grassland. The number of plant species decreased with decreasing intensity of grassland utilisation. The number of native species and also overall number of plant species decreased with increasing level of mineral fertiliser. Forty-two species were identified. Native species had the highest proportion with identified twenty five species, and then thirteen grass species and four species of legumes were identified.
