Description	The two viroids known to affect stone fruit trees are Peach latent mosaic viroid (PLMVd) and Hop stunt viroid (HSVd). The tissue printing, which avoids the sample extraction step, has been applied on a large scale to perform an initial screening of PLMVdand HSVd in different regions from Europe (Albania and Czech Republic), the Mediterranean (Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt and Turkey) and North America (Canada). PLMVd was detected in peach trees from all countries surveyed except Egypt, with percentages of incidence ranging from 52% (in Albania) to 5,4% (in Algeria). The HSVd was detected in peaches, apricots and plums, in Albania, Egypt and Turkey. The high incidence of HSVd in the east part of Turkey both in apricot (66%) and peach (57%) should be noted. (en) Na peckovinách se vyskytují dva významné viroidy - Peach latent mosaic viroid (PLMVd) a Hop stunt viroid (HSVd). Pro detekci těchto dvou viroidů byla aplikována technika %22tissue printing%22, která je vzhledem k absenci složité a nákladně extrakce RNA ze vzorku zvláště vhodná k předběžnému vyhodnocení velkého množství vzorků. Pro průzkum byly vybrány oblasti z Evropy (Albánie a Česká republika), Středozemí (Alžírsko, Kypr, Egypt a Turecko) a Severní Ameriky (Kanada). PLMVd byl stanoven v broskvoních ve všech zúčastněných zemích vyjma Egypta, s výskytem v rozsahu od 52% (v Albánii) do 5,4% (v Alžírsku). HSVd byl stanoven v broskvoních, meruňkách a slivoních v Albánii, Egyptě a Turecku. Zejména ve východním Turecku byl zaznamenán vysoký výskyt HSVd u meruněk (66%) a broskvoní (57%). (cs)
