| - Activities on plant genetic resources in the Czech Republic are concentrated in the National Programme on Plant Genetic Resources Conservation and Utilization. Eleven institutions hold 52 000 accessions, among them 18.4% vegetatively propagated species. RICP Praha has responsibility for the coordination of the Programme; the institute holds more than half of all accessions in Czech collections runs the national information system and provides long-term storage for all seed-propagated species. All Czech collections are fully documented in passport data and evaluation data (based on National descriptor lists for 34 crops) are available for 40% of accessions. An intensive characterization and evaluation of genetic resources is carried out to enhance their utilization in breeding and in agricultural practice. Also collecting missions on the Czech territory, conservation and monitoring of valuable resources maintained in situ contribute to the maintenance and evaluation of local resources. Landraces are

- Aktivity zaměřené v české republice na genetické zdroje rostlin se soustřeďují v N8rodním programu kenzervace a využití genetických zdrojů rostlin. V projektu je zapojeno 11 institucí které udržuji 52 000 položek, z toho 18.4% patří k vegetativně množeným druhům. VÚRV Praha odpovídá za koordinaci programu ; VÚRV také udržuje přes polovinu všech položek genetických zdrojů v ČR, zajišťuje činnost Národního informačního systému a uchování všech semenných kolekcí v Genové bance. Všechny české kolekce mají dokumentována pasportní data , poisná data (založená na klasifikátorech pro 34 plodin)jsou k dispozici u 40% položek a dále se rozšiřují, s cílem zlepšit využití genetických zdrojů ve šlechtění. Organizují se rovněž sběrové expedice. Pozornost je věnovíána také agro-biodiversitě, zejména opomíjeným a alternativním plodinám (pohanka, proso, pluchaté pšenice a dalším) a krajoáým odrůdám.
