| - A glasshouse experiment was conducted to study the effect of 12 selected herbicides on two chlorsulfuron resistant and sensitive biotypes of kochia. The highest effect - visible damage and mortality of plants and a reduction in fresh matter of aboveground parts - on both biotypes was prodeced by these herbicides: metribuzin (350g/ha), atrazine (2000 g/ha), desmedipham + ethofumesate + phenmedipham (249 + 391 + 320 g/ha), cyanazine (1000 g/ha) and glyphosate-IPA (1440 g/ha). Thelowest effect on both biotypes was recorded in metosulam+2,4-D (5 + 360 g/ha). Following the application of rimsulfuron (15 g/ha) and chlorsulfuron (23 g/ha) the respective fresh matter of sensitive biotype ammounted to 13 % and 7 % of the control and of resistant biotype to 101 and 89 % of the control.
