Description
  • The determination of SAS was carried out with a modified method by Kemper (adjusted translation DIN 19683 x 16). It is an update of the original norm of the same symbol from 1973, which was proposed as a modification of the method by Kemper and Koch (1966). It is mainly used in Germany and Austria. This method is intended primarily for determination of soil susceptibility to encrustation formation and relative comparison of stability of soils under different management of grasslands. Aggregate stabilityis defined here as soil resistance against changes in their cohesive arrangement.
