| - Připomenuto je 150té výročí narození Antona Rzehaka (1855-1923) - významného paleontologa a geologa, profesora německé techniky v Brně. Rekapitulováno je široké spektrum jeho zájmů a specializací se zvláštním zřetelem k jeho foraminiferovým výzkumům. V r. 1886 Rzehak publikoval pravděpodobně první foraminiferový mikropaleontologický rozbor z magurského flyše. Vzorek pocházel z eocénu račanské jednotky poblíž pramene Aloiska v lázních Luhačovice (Louisen-Quelle, Luhatschowitz). Rzehak určil tři druhy foraminifer, z nich Trochammina placentula jako nový. Lokalita byla nově zkoumána a získaný fosilní materiál foraminifer revidován. Výsledkem je zjištění 11 druhů foraminifer. Druh T. placentula byl identifikován jako Praesphaerammina subgaleata. Je navrženo potlačení jména T. placentula s ohledem na to že bylo zapomenuto a nepoužíváno více než 100 let. (cs)
- 150th birth anniversary of Anton Rzehak (1855-1923) – a renowned palaeontologist and geologist, professor of the German technical university in Brno - is commemorated. The broad spectrum of his interests and expertise is briefly recapitulated with special emphasis on his foraminiferal studies. In 1886, Prof. Rzehak published what was probably the earliest analysis of foraminifera from the Magura flysch. The studied locality was the Eocene of the Rača Unit sampled near the Aloiska Spring in Luhačovice Spa (Louisen-Quelle, Luhatschowitz). Rzehak originally recorded three taxa including one described as new: Trochammina placentula. The original locality was recently revisited and resampled, enabling a revision of Rzehak’s findings. Eleven species of the flysch-type agglutinated foraminifers are newly recognised. T. placentula is identified as synonymous with Praesphaerammina subgaleata, but a suppression of T. placentula is proposed as the name has been forgotten for more than a hundred years.
