Description
  • Upper mantle xenoliths are abundant in the basanites of the Pliocene Kozákov volcano. The studied samples of spinel lherzolites come from the depth of about 50-75 km. The mineral assemblage preserved subsolidus temperatures of 1165-1052° from the time of xenolith entrapment. Mineralogical features as well as of the bulk lherzolite compositions are indicator of cryptic metasomatic events in the upper mantle.

  • V bazanitech pliocénní kozákovské sopky jsou hojné xenolity svrchního pláště. Studované vzorky ultramafických xenolitů pocházejí z hloubky 50-75 km.Vypočítaná teplota subsolidifikace xenolitů odpovídá 1165-1052°a odpovídá období, kdy xenolity byly uzavřeny v bazaltové tavenině. Jak složení minerálů, tak celkové složení lherzolitů ukazují na skrytou metasomatózu ve svrchním plášti. (cs)
