Description
  • Based on NIR analysis of foliar material, lignin:N and celullose:N content of the youngest needles were positively and significantly related to WEDOC (water extractable DOC) and to forest floor C:N ratio. Foliar N was strongly and negatively related to WEDOC and C:N ratio among our study sites. WEDON was positively correlated to foliar lignin:N. Forest floor C pools were not positively correlated with foliar lignin and cellulose and forest floor N pools were not positively correlated with foliar N. Instead, a significant negative correlation was found between forest floor N pools and foliar cellulose, and between, and between forest floor C pools and foliar N. Canopy reflectance proprties are primarily influenced by the most recent foliage, and it was chemistry of the most recent produced needles that showed a stronger relationship with forest floor WEDOC and C:N ratio suggesting forest floor production of WEDOC can be calculated regionally with remote sensing.

  • Na zaklade NIR analyzy jehličí byl poměru lignin:N a celulozy:N nejmladšího jehličí pozitivně a signifikantně korelován s WEDOC (water extractable DOC)a C:N poměrem hrabanky. Dusík v jehličí byl silně a negativně korelován s WEDOC a C:N na všch zkoumaných místech. WEDON byl pozitivně korelován s poměrem lignin:N v jehličí. Zásoba uhlíku v hrabance nebyla pozitivně korelována s ligninem a celulozou jehličí, a zásoba N v hrabance nebyla korelována s obsahem N v jehličí. Signifikantní negativní korelace byla nalezena mezi obsahem dusíku v hrabance a celulozou jehličí a mezi zásobou C v půdě a N v jehličí. Tyto výsledky mají význam, protože reflektanční charakteristiky korun (charakterizované nejmladším jehličím) jsou dobře korelovány s půdními vlastnostmi alze tak dálkovým průzkumem urcovat C:N poměr a WEDOC v půdě.
