Description	Main characteristics of depressive disorder during pregnancy and postpartum depression and risk factors of relapse of depression in these periods are summarized. The author reviews results of clinical trials of tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and so called %22newer antidepressants%22 used during pregnancy; presents main risks of their use during this period and after delivery /teratogenicity, perinatal toxicity, behavioural teratogenicity etc./. Risks for nursing infants are also resumed. The basic principles of pharmacological treatment of depression during pregnancy and breastfeeding /patient´s information, choice of treatment, choice of antidepressant, dosage of antidepressant, and prevention of postpartum depression/ are discussed. (en) V úvodu článku je článku je charakterizována depresivní porucha v těhotenství a po porodu a jsou shrnuty rizikové faktory jejich vzniku. Autor krátce rekapituluje výsledky klinických studií s použitím tricyklických antidepresiv, selektivních inhibitorů zpětného vstřebávání serotoninu a tzv.%22nových antidepresiv%22 během těhotenství a po porodu a uvádí hlavní rizika jejich užití v těchto obdobích /teratogenicita, perinatální toxicita, behaviorální toxicita atd./ a při kojení. V hlavní části článku jsou uvedeny a diskutovány základní zásady léčby depresivní poruchy v těhotenství /informace pacientky, volba léčby, volba antidepresiva a jeho dávkování a prevence vzniku poporodní deprese/ a při kojení.
