Description	The study simulated 1 – 3 days´ transportation of peripheral blood patient samples to analytical laboratory and followed up the effect of the transport on results of qualitative and quantitative BCR-ABL RT-PCR analyses. It was found that the results of both analyses were influenced. Differences increased with duration of the transport but were lower in temperatures below 10°C. In order to prevent wrong results which may lead to wrong conclusions, it is important to stabilize blood samples as early as possible or at least to cool samples below 10°C.
