Description
| - The paper describes the development of artificial radionuclides concentrations by using an example of the tributaries of Orlík Reservoir, the Vltava, Lužnice and Otava Rivers. In terms of data, tritium and caesium 137 concentrations from the period 1990-2012 and strontium 90 concentrations from the period 1993-2012 are used. The concentrations of caesium 137 and strontium 90 are permanently decreasing during the monitored period. Concentrations of tritium in river sites not affected by Temelín nuclear plant were slowly decreasing and their values were substantially below those from the sites affected by the plant. The concentrations of 3H were approximately 1 Bq.l-1, concentrations of 90Sr and 137Cs were 1 mBq.l-1 at the end of analysed period (2012). The kinetics of the radionuclides decrease is analysed and the radionuclides balances in the hydrosphere are quantified to set the background conditions, which are compared to their activities released by the nuclear power plant.
