Description	Extensive investigations of 77 undisturbed permanent oligotrophic springs in Blanice river catchment (Czech Republic) were realized in winter 2007/2008. The main objective was to determine the composition of spring’s assemblages. We aimed to discover the possible patterns in composition of the macroinvertebrate communities in springs and to find what abiotic parameters define the character of these associations.
