Description	Tritium concentration was assessed in surface water affected and not affected by waste water discharges from Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. The assessment included residual tritium concentrations in surface waters originating from nuclear atmosphere weapons tests in the last century, natural tritium sources and tritium sources from nuclear facilities located outside the territory of the Czech Republic. Results of long-term tritium monitoring in rivers not affected by waste waters from Temelín NPP were used for derivation of tritium effective and ecological half-lives. Tritium concentration was assessed in surface water affected and not affected by waste water discharges from Temelín Nuclear Power Plant.
