Description	The research project primarily focuses on the utilization of waste (waste water treatment sludge in particular) in the production of solid alternative fuels (SAF). It comprises the selection of suitable wastes, description of technological procedures and methods of pre-treatment, preparation of SAF from waste (formulas), check of solid residue post combustion. The highest efforts are made to minimize cases of application of unsuitable types of waste in the production of SAF and to verify new possible SAF preparation procedures, including waste disposal process control with the aim to identify potentially hazardous properties of feed as well as of solid residue post combustion with respect to its further use, e.g. on the ground surface – land reclamation.
