| - Cílem předkládané metodiky je systémově rozpracovat a popsat modifikované postupy produkce a použití sadebního materiálu smrku ztepilého pro obnovu lesa a zalesňování v horských oblastech. Modifikace pěstebních postupů má za cíl udržení a zvýšení podílu stromů s klimaxovou strategii růstu v oddílech sadebního materiálu, které jsou využívány v horských oblastech a v konečném efektu zvýšení kvality a stability nově zakládaných lesních porostů v těchto extrémních podmínkách.

- The aim of the guide is to develop and describe the procedures for the production and use of modified plant material for reforestation of Norway spruce forest in mountain areas. Modification of the production aims at maintaining and increasing the proportion of trees with the climax growth strategy of planting material, which are used in mountain areas and in the final effect to increase the quality and the stability of the newly established forest stands in these extreme conditions. The optimum procedure for the production of mountain spruce planting stock is achieved using a combination of generative and vegetative propagation. During generative reproduction, seedlings with climax growth strategy are sorted out and transplanted separately. Then these trees are a source of cuttings for vegetative reproduction method. The final planting stock used for artificial reforestation is then formed by plants of generative origin with all growth strategies (including individuals with slower juvenile growth – climax trees), and the seedlings of vegetative origin, which is even more increasing the proportion of individuals with the climax growth strategy on the reforested area. To ensure the stability of the newly established stands of mountain spruce both increased share of individuals with the climax growth strategy and their spatial distribution are needed. (en)
