  • Znečištění ovzduší je notoricky známým problémem spojeným zejména s lidskou činností v průmyslově vyspělých zemích. Je prokázáno, že tento proces probíhá převážně v atmosférické mezní vrstvě (ABL), díky které se jedná o velmi komplikovaný a synergický problém, pro jehož řešení lze použít metody matematického a fyzikálního modelování.   • Solution of gas dispersion has been sought for decades. It has already been proven, that this process takes place in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL), that it is a very complicated and synergic problem. The methods of mathematical and physical modelling are used in its solution. The physical modelling is based on principles of analogy, especially on analogy of flow in ABL and flow in boundary layer modelled in special wind tunnel that fits dynamical, thermical and geometrical similarity criteria. Even here, there is no universal method and methods of approximate stimulation that solve task classes, are deduced. In case of disaster, accidental gas release or fire accompanied by gas escape, the situation is very complicated. The gas usually releasesinside the industrial area, among the buildings or obstacles, often in topographically complicated terrain.
