  • Althogether 3691 speciemens of diptera representing 25 families were found on two alfalfa fields under two different management techniques: reduced and conventional tillage. Five families were dominant, exceeding relative abundance of 5 %, viz Cecidomyiidae (1390 speciemens, 37,7 %), Chloropidae (679 speciemens, 18,4 %), Sciaridae (575 speciemens, 15,6 %), Phoridae (292 speciemens, 7,9 %) and Sphaeroceridae (278 speciemens, 7,5 %). Dominant families comprised 87,1 % of all speciemens found.
