| - The purpose of the present study was to ascertain whether it is possible to substitute animal protein in a pig diet with lupin of variant Sonet or amaranth grain or dried surface biomass of amaranth when one type feed ration is used during the entire period of fattening, and its impact on the growth efficiency and health of pigs. No significant differences between control and experimental animals were found in carcass chracteristics, meat and sensory qualities. Lupine supplementation of the positively affected the tenderness and taste of meat.

- Cílem práce bylo ověřit možnost náhrady živočišné bílkoviny v dietě prasat lupinou, var. Sonet nebo amarantem ve formě zrna nebo sušené nadzemní biomasy s použitím stejné krmné směsi po celé období výkrmu a vliv na růstové schopnosti a zdraví. Dále byl posouzen vliv na konverzi krmiva a vybrané ukazatele carcass characteristics, kvalitu masa a senzorické vlastnosti. Substitucí animálního proteinu v dietách amarantem (group 1,2) nebo lupinou (3) nebyl prokázán signifikantní rozdíl (P gt;0.05) v průměrném denním přírůstku proti kontrolní skupině (C – 0.83 a 0.82, 0.80 a 0.79 kg pro skupiny 1 až 3), neprůkazné rozdíly byli v konverzi krmiva (2.69 až 2.79 kg/kg přírůstku).Nebyly zjištěny průkazné rozdíly mezi kontrolními a pokusními zvířaty v jatečné hodnotě, kvalitě masa a senzorických vlastnostech. Pozitivně byl hodnocen vliv lupiny na křehkost a chuť masa. (cs)
