  • Neue Forschungen zu Troia, aber auch allgemein zum Gebiet der Troas im 2. Jt. v. Chr. machen es heute möglich, die kulturelle und topographische Entwicklung der damaligen Troas neu und genauer zu skizzieren. Die Zeitabschnitte der Mittel- und Spätbronzezeit werden neu definiert, vorhandene Waren beschrieben, Größe und Typen der Siedlungen, wie auch deren Verteilung in der Landschaft diskutiert. Die Betonung liegt dabei vor allem auf einer feinchronologischen Ansprache der vorhandenen Fragmente, welche es ermöglicht, eine interessante chronologische Entwicklung der Siedlungsstruktur aufzuzeigen. Gleichzeitig werden auch neue chemische Analysen vorhandener Keramikwaren vorgestellt und zwei daraus resultierende Produktions- und Distributionszentren in der westlichen Troas in einen breiteren Kontext gesetzt.
  • New research on Troia and the Troad in the 2nd millennium BC has made it possible to asses cultural and topographical development of the then Troad anew and more accurately.The local Middle Bronze Age and Late Bronze Age period will be defined first, followed by the pottery-wares, as well as the size and types of the settlements. In the next step, emerging settlement-patterns will be discussed, with a special attention paid to chronological fine tuning of the assessment. Finally, new chemical analyses of the pottery will be presented, leading to the definition of two ceramic production and distribution centres in the western Troad. (en)
