Description	For the first time in the history of the Philosophical Faculty of Masaryk University, the research plan proposes to interconnect the philological investigation of linguistic-literary roots of the contemporary globalized Euro-American civilization on as large a scale as possible. The research domain will be divided into two philological specializations - linguistic and literary - that are related, but at the same time enforced through certain differences. The goal of the linguistic specialization is an analysis of the main ancient languages, Greek and Latin, Sanskrit and of historical stages of modern languages by means of current linguistic methods and testing their validity also for the languages of the Ancient Period and the Middle Ages. In the literary specialization, individual ancient literary genres will be examined - in a synchronous as well as diachronic way - with regard to the latest literary concepts (i.e. to the genre theory and to the poststructuralist theory of deconstruction). (en) Výzkumný záměr si klade za cíl poprvé v historii Filozofické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity (a české vědy vůbec) propojit v nejširší možné míře filologický výzkum jazykově-literárních kořenů současné globalizované euro-americké civilizace. Okruh výzkumu bude rozdělen na dvě příbuzné (nicméně určitými odlišnostmi vynucené) filologické specializace, lingvistickou a literární.Okruh výzkumu bude rozdělen na dvě příbuzné (nicméně určitými odlišnostmi vynucené) filologické specializace, lingvistickou a literární. Cílem lingvistické specializace je analýza hlavních starověkých jazyků, řečtiny a latiny, sanskrtu a historických stupňů moderních jazyků pomocí současných lingvistických metod a ověřování jejich platnosti i pro jazyky starověku a středověku. V literární specializaci budou synchronně i diachronně zkoumány jednotlivé starověké literární žánry se zřetelem k nejnovějším literárním koncepcím (tj. k žánrové teorii a poststrukturalistické teorii dekonstrukce).

A number of original results was achieved both the theoretical ones and the results with possibilities for a direct application. The matters of baltistics, indoeuropistics as well as the aplication of recent methods on an older evolutionary language stages was solved. The subject of solution were issues of classical literary texts. (en) Projekt byl řešen v souladu se zadáním. Byla dosažena řada originálních výsledků a to jak teoretických tak i výsledků s možností přímé aplikace. Projekt řešil otázky baltistiky, indoeuropistiky a aplikce moderních metod na starší vývojová stádia jazyků. Předmětem řešení byla problematika klasických literárních textů. (cs)
