Description
| - Research will be focused on controlled synthesis of polymers and supermolecular systems leading to products with uniform and defined structure and specific utility values and on development of new theories explaining physical and chemical behavior of the studied systems. Attention will be paid to study of ordered systems formed by interaction of synthetic, synthetic and natural macromolecules or, in addition, with low-molecular-weight substances, performed on atomic, molecular and supermolecular levels. Attention will be focused on the development of new smart materials, responding to environment stimuli, materials for bioengineering and biomimetics, bioconjugates for drug transport and gene therapy, and materials for membranes, sensors, photonics and microelectronics. The research on technical polymers will be focused on improvement of utility value of polymer blends and development of recyclable and biodegradable materials as well as materials formed from renewable natural resources. - Výzkum bude zaměřen na řízenou syntézu polymerních látek a nadmolekulárních systémů vedoucí k produktům s jednotnou a definovanou strukturou a specifickými užitnými vlastnostmi a na vývoj nových teorií vysvětlujících fyzikální a chemické chování studovaných soustav. V centru pozornosti bude studium uspořádaných systémů vzniklých vzájemnou interakcí syntetických nebo syntetických a přírodních makromolekul a nízkomolekulárních látek, prováděné na atomové, molekulární a supramolekulární úrovni. Z hlediska materiálového bude středem pozornosti vývoj nových inteligentních materiálů reagujících na podněty z okolí, materiálů pro bioinženýrství a biomimetiku, biokonjugátů pro dopravu léčiv a genové terapie, materiálů pro membrány, senzory, fotoniku a mikroelektroniku. Výzkum technických polymerů bude zaměřen na zlepšení užitných vlastností polymerních směsí a na vývoj recyklovatelných a biodegradovatelných materiálů a materiálů vznikajících z obnovitelných přírodních zdrojů.

| - The project resulted in a significant progress in chemistry, physics and physical chemistry of macromolecules, and in preparation of polymer systems for applications in biomedical field, optoelectronics and material engineering. - Výsledky výzkumného záměru představují významný pokrok v chemii, fyzice a fyzikální chemii makromolekulárních systémů, při přípravě polymerních systémů pro aplikace v biolékařských oborech, optoelektronice a materiálovém inženýrství. Novými postupy syntézy byly získány nové polymery s pokročilými vlastnostmi, kterých bylo dosaženo jejich funkcionalizací a cíleným samouspořádáním. (cs)
