Description	The aim of the project is to examine the potential of usage of so called light barrier at level crossings watched by light interlock plant without barrier or with additional mechanical barrier. This safety element would be subsequently embeded in legislation and technical standards to enable its routine use in practice, so that the light barrier would become commonplace in newly designed and built equipments in the given category. Our goal is the reduction of accident risk at level crossings using reduplication of vital information (warning) with help of the light barrier and its location to the central visual field of driver. (en) Cílem projektu je ověřit možnosti užití tzv. světelné závory na železničních přejezdech zabezpečených PZS bez závor, příp. i PZS s doplňkovou mechanickou závorou. Následně pak tento bezpečnostní prvek zakotvit do legislativy a technických norem, aby bylo umožněno jeho běžné užívání v praxi a světelná závora se stala běžnou součástí nově projektovaných a budovaných zařízení dané kategorie. Snahou je snížení rizika dopravní nehody na přejezdu zdvojením životně důležité informace (výstražný stav přejezdu) pomocí tzv. světelné závory a jejího umístění do centrálního zorného pole řidiče.
