Description	Inventory an evaluation of painter and graphic works of the painter Hugo Boettinger (1880-1934) in the relation with musical life of the first third od the 20th century is the goal of this research. His work represents the most important czech source ofthe 20th century music iconography. Nowadays are his pictures only paritally known the originals are dispersed in collections of several institutions and private collectors. Till these days the contribution of H. Boetinger to the musical activitoes of histime wasn´t appreciated. Another aspect of the work is to enrich the collections of the museum of new items from private sources. The manuscript of the study will be written in czech and in english. As well as is catalogue of music related works of H.Boeettinger accompanied by picture documentation. The catalogue and manuscript are for scientific use. Exhibitiona at the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the artist´s death will provide information for wider public (December 2004). (en) Cílem práce je soupis a zhodnocení významu malířškého a grafického díla malíře Hugo Boettingera (1880-1934) ve vztahu k hudebnímu životu první třetiny 20. stoletíl Jeho tvorba představuje nejvýznamnější český pramen hudební ikonografie 20. století. Díloje dosud jen zčásti známé, originály jsou rozptýleny ve sbírkách mnoha institucí a soukromníků. Prozatím nedoceněn je osobní přínos H. Boettingera pro hudební dění jeho doby. v neposlední řade je možno onohatit sbírky muzea o materiály od soukromých sběratelů. Vědecké i širší veřejnosti bude určena studie v češtině a angličtině a katalog děl autora vztahujících se k hudbě včetně obrazové dokumentace. Výstupem pro širokou veřejnost je scénář výstavy na dané téma k 70. výročí úmrtí umělce (prosinec 2004).
