Description
  • The project deals with the problems of new invasive disease „bleeding canker“ of horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) linked to bacteria Pseudomonas syringae pv. aesculi that has recently spread over several European countries and caused the death of thousands of trees. The project includes survey of “bleeding canker” in the Czech Republic, deion of this syndrome, reaction of damaged trees, character of locality, identification of P. syringae pv. aesculi and other pathogens with regard to „bleeding canker“ and evaluation of their pathogenity on horse chestnut. This project should clarify wheatear individual trees with defense mechanisms against Pseudomonas syringae pv. aesculi exist in the conditions of the Czech Republic. (en)
  • Zjistit rozsah výskytu „bleeding canker“ u jírovce maďalu v ČR, charakterizovat příčiny choroby a prověřit zastoupení odolnějších jedinců v populaci jírovce jako základu šlechtění na rezistenci a perspektivního způsobu řešení problému.

  • The project result pointed to the existence of high risk of conker withering under the Czech conditions as a consequence of PSA infection, at the same time confirming feasibility of active selection of PSA-resistant genotypes with the help of the prepared certified methodology. The prepared and tested methodological procedures proved to be good and allowed for achievement of relevant results. (en)
  • Řešení projektu prokázalo vysoké riziko odumírání jírovců v podmínkách ČR v důsledku infekce PSA a současně potvrdilo reálnost využití aktivního výběru PSA odolných genotypů pomocí vypracované certifikované metodiky. Vypracované a ověřené metodické postupy se osvědčily a umožnily dosáhnout významné výsledky. (cs)
