Description
  • Contribution to general knowledge on genetic basis of plant adaptation to stresses on barley model and clarify specific mechanism leading to different responses of various genotypes. Project should basis of high adaptability of wild related species E. repens, namely its H genome. The acquired knowledge will be based on stress response evaluation by transcriptomics tools namely commertial DNA chips and high throughtput proteomic analysis and physiological characteristics. The theoretical knowledge will lead to key genes identification and cloning. The clones will be deposited in clone bank for their future use in genetic engineering. Further DNA and protein markers will be identified suited for characterisation of genotype make up (genetic resources, breeding material, cultivars), e.g. development of DNA probes for development of topic-related DNA array.   • Cílem projektu bylo s využitím vysokokapacitních metod transkriptomiky a proteomiky identifikovat podstatu adaptace odrůd ječmene a příbuzného planého druhu vůči stresům, popsat rozdíly mezi genotypy, klonovat odpovědné geny jako základ pro genové manipulace a vývoj markérů.   • The project goal was to use high-transcriptomics and proteomics methods to identify the nature of adaptation of barley varieties and the related wild species to stress, to describe the differences between genotypes, clone the responsible genes as the basis for the development of gene manipulation and marker development.
