  • Proposed study will concentrate on relationship between TEL/AML1 hybrid gene, L-Asparaginase and Asparagine Synthetase regulation in leukaemic cells. We will employ modern approaches including quantitative real-time PCR and RNA interference. We will study the mechanisms of Asparagine Synthetase expression regulation, Asparagine Synthetase activity, relationship between TEL/AML1 and Asparagine Synthetase exúression and resistance to L-asparaginase.   • Navrhovaná studie se zaměří na vztrah mezi hybridním genem TEL/AML1, L-asparaginasou a regulací genu pro asparagin synthetasu v leukemických buńkách. Budeme využívat moderní přístupy včetně kvantitativní PCR v reálném čase a RNA interference. Budeme studovat mechanismy regulace exprese asparagin synthetasy, aktivitu asparagin synthetasy, vztah mezi TEL/AML1 a expresí asparagin synthetasy a resistencí na L-asparaginasu.
