Description
  • Identification of active microbial communities, participating in dead organic matter transformation in forest soils of the Central Europe (deciduous and coniferous mountain forest) and North America (boreal mixed and coniferous forest). Specific probing of microbial community members active in the studied processes will be achieved by stable isotope probing using 13C-compounds. Identification of active community members will enable the comparison of studied ecosystems and the identification of key microbial taxa involved in decomposition of dead plant biomass. (en)

  • The aim of this project was the description of the bacterial and fungal communities in the mountainous and lowland forest of the temperate zone. Using next-generation-sequencing and Stable Isotope Probing, active microbial decomposers were identified as well as selected functional genes participating in decomposition. (en)
  • Cílem projektu byl popis společenstev hub a bakterií v ekosystémech horského a nížinného lesa temperátní zóny a identifikace aktivních rozkladačů organické hmoty. Metodami sekvenace a značení stabilními isotopy byli identifikováni aktivní rozkladači vybraných složek organické hmoty a funkční geny, účastnící se tohoto procesu. (cs)
