Description
  • Project addresses the effect of high pressure rheology on lubrication film thickness and traction within concentrated contacts. Both newtonian and non-newtonian lubricants will be used. The pressure and shear dependences of the viscosity of these lubricants will be measured with high-pressure viscometers. The lubrication film behavior between highly loaded machine parts will be modeled using an optical test rig and thin film colorimetric interferometry will be used to obtain film thickness distribution within lubricated contacts. Obtained results will be compared with data provided by current theoretical predictions and numerical solutions. (en)

  • V rámci řešení projektu se podařilo prokázat, že reologické vlastnosti maziv za vysokých tlaků významně ovlivňují tloušťku mazacího filmu. Podařilo se nalézt přímou kvantitativní vazbu mezi závislostí tloušťky mazacího filmu na rychlostech třecích povrchů a chováním maziv za vysokých tlaků. (cs)
