Description	The subject of this sociologically oriented project is a case study of the lives of businessmen and businesswomen in today's Czech society. The project offers a comprehensive analysis of social and political mechanisms affecting professional and private lives of businessmen and businesswomen, with an emphasis placed on a gendered organization of society. It will involve in particular the identification of the processes and results of creating life strategies as individual or group adaptations to the changing social conditions. The projet is divided into two phases: 1. Definition of the social context within which the Czech business sphere and its dynamics have developed. This analysis will pertain in particular to the conditions on the labor marked and the social-political context from the gender point of view. 2. A qualitative sociological study of individual perceptions of the social environment and the creation of appropriate life strategies by businessmen and busineswomen. (en) Předmětem sociologicky orientovaného projektu je případová studie života podnikatelů a podnikatelek v současné české společnosti. Projekt je ucelenou analýzou sociálních a politických mechanismů, ovlivňujících profesní a soukromý život podnikatelů a podnikatelek s důrazem na genderové uspořádání společnosti. Půjde zejména o identifikaci procesu a výsledků vytváření životních strategií jako individuálních nebo skupinových adaptací na měnící se společenské podmínky. Projekt je členěn do dvou fází: 1. Vymezení sociálního kontextu, ve kterém se vyvíjela česká podnikatelská sféra a jeho dynamiky. Analyzovány budou zejména podmínky trhu práce a sociálně politický kontext z genderového hlediska. 2. Kvalitativní sociologická studie individuálního společenského prostředí a vytváření vhodných životních strategií podnikatelů a podnikatelek. Analyzován bude způsob harmonizace profesního a rodinného života v závislosti na pohlaví.
