Description	The project will examine the participation of nurturing fathers in the family and household during parental leave and after their return to the sphere of paid work. The research will explore links between these two spheres (the socio-economic status of both partners, career aspirations, work-life balance opportunities, the situation of the family and its impact on the arrangement of gender roles, and the life and professional outlook of both partners), expectations of partners regarding the performance of gender roles, the structuring of gender roles and the influence of the social environment on the arrangement of the roles, the construction of the identity of the man-father during and after the parental leave, the importance and value attributed by partners to their own behaviour and the behaviour of the other partner in these life periods. The project solution is built on a qualitative approach which provides an opportunity to gain understanding of the employed strategies. (en) Výzkum se zaměří na sledování participace pečujících otců v rodině a domácnosti během rodičovské dovolené a po jejich návratu zpět do sféry práce. Bude zkoumána zejména provázanost obou těchto sfér (socio-ekonomický status partnerů, pracovní ambice, kariérové aspirace, možnosti kombinace práce a rodiny v dané profesi a na konkrétní pracovní pozici, situace rodiny a její vliv na uspořádání genderových rolí, životní a pracovní perspektivy obou partnerů), vzájemná očekávání partnerů ohledně výkonu genderových rolí, strukturalizace těchto rolí a vliv sociálního okolí na jejich uspořádání, konstrukce identity muže-otce během rodičovské dovolené a po ní, význam a hodnota udílená oběma partnery jejich vlastnímu jednání i jednání druhého partnera v daných obdobích. Řešení projektu je postaveno na kvalitativním přístupu umožňujícímu porozumět strategiím jednání daných lidí. Bude proto použita technika semi-strukturovaného interview se skupinou 20 mužů (pečujících otců) a jejich partnerkami.
