Description	The aim of the project is to elaborate the as yet unevaluated phytocoenological material from earlier long-term research into the vegetation of the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The plant communities of forests and communities dominated by Phragmites sp. div., Salix sp. div., and communities of lowlands will be evaluated by the method of Braun-Blanquet school and multivariate analysis that has proved very suitable for comparison With the vegetation of North Korea and Japan. The project aims to elaborate a total survey of the North Korean vegetation and preparation of the book about forest vegetation of the Far East. It will be based on the field data and literature knowledge. The international collaboration is planned (Russian, Chinese, Korean and Japanese colleagues). This work follows up publications of 1992-1995 (elaborated in the framework of a grant from the Academy of Sciences). (en) Zpracování dosud nevyhodnoceného fytocenologického materiálu z dřívějšího dlouhodobého výzkumu vegetace severní části Korejského poloostrova. Metodou curyšsko-montpelliérské školy, která se ukázala jako velmi vhodná pro srovnání s vegetací Jižní Koreje a Japonska, a mnohorozměrných statistických metod, budou vyhodnocena společenstva lesů, rákosin, vrbin a luční společenstva pobřežních niv. Projekt vyústí ve zpracování celkového přehledu severokorejské vegetace. Cílem je rovněž příprava publikace o lesní vegetaci Dálného východu. Projekt je založen jednak na zpracování vlastního terénního materiálu, jednak na syntéze literárních dat. Významný je podíl mezinárodní spolupráce odborníků z dané oblasti (Rusko, Čína, Korea a Japonsko). Práce navazuje napublikace z let 1992-1995 (řešené v rámci grantu AV ČR).
