Description	Navrhovaný projekt je zaměřen na zkoumání jednoho z nejcharakterističtějších žánrů pozdní antické literatury: centonů, %22citátových básní%22. Projekt navazuje na předchozí výzkum navrhovatele, při němž se podařilo vypracovat interpretační metodu pro tento zvláštní druh poezie a její pomocí stanovit specifika křesťanských centonů v latině (4.-5. stol.). Cílem výzkumu bude rozšířit dosavadní výsledky ve dvou směrech: jednak detailním srovnáním se staršími představiteli tohoto žánru (od 2. stol.) podrobněji popsat rozdíly v aplikaci centonové techniky v tradičních římských (%22pohanských%22) a křesťanských centonech; jednak prozkoumat recepci inovací, které do žánrové tradice zavedly latinské křesťanské centony, v pozdější centonové poezii (především řecké, 5. stol., která se k latinským vzorům hlásí). Hlavními výstupy budou cizojazyčné studie k dílčím otázkám a monografická přehledová studie spojená s antologií výběru z textů v překladu (první k tomuto tématu v češtině). This project will examine one of the most distinctive literary genres of Late Antiquity: the cento, or a %22quotation poem%22. The project builds upon previous research in the course of which an interpretation method for this specific genre was developed andused to determine the specific features of the Latin Christian centos (4th - 5th century AD). The objective of the present research is to develop the existing results in two directions: on the one hand, through a detailed comparison with earlier examplesof the genre (2nd century AD), to arrive at a comprehensive description of differences in application of the cento technique in the traditional Roman (%22pagan%22) and Christian centos, and on the other hand, to examine the reception of innovations introduced into the genre tradition by Latin Christian centos in the later production, in particular the 5th century Greek centos that acknowledge their Latin models.
