Description	The project aims to analyse the academic segment of the field of security experts through investigation of security-related public academic events in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its conceptual core combines securitization theory, theory of social fields and analysis of symbolic behaviour. Methodologically, the project builds upon participative field research combined with understanding interviews and followed by dramaturgical analysis, triangulated by computer-assisted qualitative content analysis of texts produced by security experts. The main research field are security-oriented conferences as sites of specific dramatizations of symbolic behaviours where security knowledge and hierarchies are negotiated and reaffirmed. At the actor level, the emphasis will be on strategies of self-presentation, status symbols, and issues presented as security-related. At the structural level, the focus will be on organization of symbolic interaction and the ways in which the privileged status of security knowledge is performed. The project will generate 2 articles (Jrec) and a monograph (B). (en) Projekt se prostřednictvím výzkumu akademických veřejných událostí v oblasti bezpečnostních studií soustřeďuje na analýzu akademického segmentu pole bezpečnostních expertů v ČR a na Slovensku. Konceptuální jádro projektu je tvořeno teorií sekuritizace, teorií sociálního pole a analýzou symbolického chování. Metodologicky projekt čerpá z participativního terénního výzkumu spojeného s chápajícími rozhovory a následovaného dramaturgickou analýzou, která bude triangulována CAQD analýzou textů vytvořených bezpečnostními experty. Hlavním výzkumným terénem jsou bezpečnostní konference nahlíženy jako místa specifické dramatizace symbolického chování, na kterých jsou vyjednávány a potvrzovány bezpečnostní hierarchie a vědění. Na úrovni aktérů bude důraz položen na strategie sebeprezentace, statusové symboly a problémy prezentované jako bezpečnostní. Na úrovni struktury se projekt soustředí na organizaci symbolické interakce a způsoby, jakými je odehráván privilegovaný status bezpečnostního vědění. Výstupem projektu budou dva články (Jrec) a finální monografie (B).
