Description	The goal of the present project is to study selected Latin treatises crucial for the development of astronomy from late antiquity through Middle Ages up to early modern times. The texts will be interpreted and made available for Czech historians of science in the form of studies, editions and thoroughly commented translations. A particular attention will be paid to tracing the evolution of ideas on the fixed stars starting from Hyginus' work up to the early telescopic observations by G. Galilei and J. Kepler. (en) V projektu budou studovány vybrané latinské spisy, které byly klíčové pro rozvoj astronomie od pozdní antiky přes středověk až po raný novověk. Tyto texty budou interpretovány a zpřístupněny českým historikům vědy formou odborných studií, edic a důkladně komentovaných překladů. Pozornost bude soustředěna především na vývoj představ o stálicích od Hyginovy práce až po první teleskopická pozorování Galilea Galileiho a Johanna Keplera.
