The recent Earth orientation parameters obtained by space techniques (VLBI and GPS) will be combined together to use advantages of each of the techniques, e.g. the long-term stability and accuracy of VLBI observations and capability of the GPS method to show the short-periodic variations in the orientation parameters. The obtained series will be analyzed, in parallel with the series of meteorological, oceanographic and other geophysical data, in order to detect their mutual correlations. We shall concentrate on clarification of the mechanism of transfer of angular momentum between the solid Earth and its fluid parts, especially to clarify the behavior of the free core nutation and the changes of Earth's speed of rotation.
