Description	The aim of the project is to derive deformation parameters, their extent and time development on selected landfills in the Czech Republic on the basis of long-term geodetic monitoring. Such parameters have not been set for our landfills yet, therefore they are the subject of respectful long-term research. Landfill deformations depend on the sort of the waste, as well as on the method of depositing. In case of the municipal waste with a large contents of organic substance the process of landfill deformation is affected also by long-term biochemical processes. In this situation there is no chance to derive landfill deformation parameters from laboratory tests of the waste substance and, therefore, landfill substance and its effects on the function of sealing cannot be unambiguously defined mathematiccaly. The main problem stems from the time limit when the closure of landfill can start with regard to the development of waste gases, as well as from the closure technique that would exclude (en) Cílem projektu je stanovit na základě dlouhodobého geodetického monitorování deformační parametry, jejich velikost a časový průběh u vybraných skládek odpadů v ČR. Jde o parametry, které dosud nebyly u našich skládek stanoveny a proto by měly být předmětem dlouhodobého výzkumu. Deformace skládky závisí na druhu a způsobu ukládání odpadu. V případě komunálních odpadů s velkým podílem organické substance je deformace skládky ovlivňována také dlouhodobými biochemickými procesy. Tato skutečnost vede k tomu, že deformační parametry skládkové substance nelze stanovit testováním vzorků odpadu v laboratoři a proto sedání skládky a jeho vliv na funkci těsnění nelze jednoznačně matematicky vyjádřit. Zásadním problémem je okolnost, kdy je možné začít se zakrýváním skládky TKO v závislosti na vývoji skládkových plynů a jakým způsobem má být skládka zakryta, aby se vyloučilo porušení povrchového těsnění.
