| - The Centre focuses on the development of scientific knowledge and formulation of crucial technological principles and procedures from the fields of theory, analysis and methods of designing construction materials, structures and other systems. Also it focuses on technologies of structure diagnostics, various influences affecting structures and technologies concerning the town and municipality economics. Main research objectives of the AdMaS Centre: development of new building materials and innovation of the existing ones by using new natural resources and/or secondary resources (improve utility value and durability of building materials, reduce energy costs, etc.);development of new diagnostic methods for testing of building materials, structures and influences affecting the structures;development of new technologies in the area of waste-water discharge, water treatment and cleaning, distribution of drinking water, waste management;development of geodetic, photogrammetric and metrological support of construction works and research;verification of practical applications of the terrain and laboratory measurements, evaluation and development of geotechnical methods used for research and diagnostics of foundation conditions;measurement of thermal and microclimatic characteristics of buildings and their parts in order to develop building methodologies and manufacturing technologies;development of reliable, durable and auto-adaptive structures based on Performance Based Design and/or Life Cycle Design;in the field of theory: formulation of mathematical, physical and computational models of processes and phenomena which are of crucial importance for quantification of reliability, lifetime period and durability of structures and technologies stated above; creation of theoretical and scientific basis in the area of performance and reliability which will serve as a base for creation and harmonization of normative regulations and technical design documents. - Předmětem činnosti je rozvoj vědeckého poznání a formulace základních technických a technologických principů a postupů orientovaných na ucelenou oblast teorie, analýzy a metod navrhování stavebních materiálů, konstrukčních systémů staveb a dalších systémů. V oblasti technologií je Centrum zaměřeno na technologie diagnostiky konstrukcí a vlivů působících na stavby, návrhu konstrukcí a technologie v oblasti hospodářství měst a obcí. Hlavní cíle: – vývoj nových stavebních materiálů, resp. inovace stávajících s využitím nových surovinových bází a/nebo druhotných surovin při zvýšení užitných vlastností a trvanlivosti stavebních materiálů v konstrukcích a snížení energetických nákladů na jejich výrobu, – vývoj nových diagnostických metod posuzování stavebních materiálů, konstrukcí nebo staveb a vlivů působících na stavby, – vývoj nových technologií v oblasti odvádění a čištění odpadních vod, úpravy pitné vody a její distribuce, nakládání s odpady, vývoj nových postupů pro využití energie z odpadních vod, odpadů a kalů vznikajících při čištění odpadních vod, – vytvoření geodetické, fotogrammetrické a metrologické podpory stavební činnosti a výzkumu, – ověřování praktických aplikací terénních a laboratorních měření, vyhodnocování a vývoje metodik v oblasti geotechnických metod průzkumu a diagnostiky základových podmínek staveb, – měření tepelných a mikroklimatických vlastností budov a dílčích částí staveb s cílem návrhu metodik výstavby a technologií výroby stavebních dílců pro dosažení zejména optimálních energetických, ekonomických a dalších parametrů staveb, – vývoj spolehlivých, trvanlivých a autoadaptivních konstrukcí na základě Performance Based Design a/nebo Life Cycle Design; optimalizace, – v teoretické oblasti: formulace matematických, fyzikálních i výpočtových modelů procesů a jevů (včetně modelování transferu tepla, difúze vodní páry a infiltrace vzduchu) podstatných pro kvantifikaci spolehlivosti, životnosti a trvanlivosti stavebních konstrukcí a technologií.
