Description	The objective of this project is to support and coordinate scientific activities within the doctoral studies in the fields of molecular biology, biophysics, oncology and pharmacology, biochemistry and biomolecular chemistry. Realization of this project will result in coordinated activities within these doctoral study programs of three research institutions with related and complementary scientific orientations in the above-mentioned fields, namely the Faculty of Sciences of the MU - National Center for Biomolecular Research, Faculty of Sciences of the UP and Institute of Biophysics, AS CR, v.v.i.. A broader and interdisciplinary methodological orientation of the students will be made possible by the use of complementary and modern methodologies and instrumentation for research focused on the studies of structure of biomacromolecules and their interactions with compounds of biological significance including antitumor drugs using methods of molecular biology and biophysics. The aims of this project will be also attained by organizing joint scientific seminars, conferences and joint exploitation of international scientific collaborations for scientific missions in foreign laboratories. (en) Cílem projektu je podpořit, koordinovat a zefektivnit vědeckou činnost v rámci doktorských studií v oborech molekulární biologie, biofyzika, onkologie a farmakologie, biochemie a biomolekulární chemie. Realizací tohoto projektu dojde ke koordinovanému postupu v doktorských studijních programech tří pracovišť s příbuzným a vzájemně se doplňujícím odborným zaměřením z výše jmenovaných vědních disciplín, jmenovitě Přírodovědecké fakulty MU - Národního centra pro výzkum biomolekul, Přírodovědecké fakulty UP a Biofyzikálního ústavu AV ČR, v.v.i.. Širší a mezioborovou metodickou orientaci studentů umožní využití vzájemně se doplňujícího a špičkového metodického a přístrojového vybavení pro výzkum zaměřený na studium struktury biomakromolekul a jejich interakcí s biologicky významnými látkami, včetně látek protinádorově účinných, metodami molekulární biologie a biofyziky. Ke splnění cílů tohoto projektu přispěje také organizace společných seminářů a společné využívání mezinárodních spoluprací pro realizaci kvalitních studijních misí studentů DSP na zahraničních pracovištích.

Twenty three students participated in this project and 9 of them successfuly finished their studies. The proposed aims of the project were achieved. The results were published in 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals. (en) Doktorský projekt splnil své zadání. Zúčastnilo se ho 23 studentů doktorského studia ze tří spoluřešitelských pracovišť, z nichž 9 úspěšně studium dokončilo. Příspěvek na cestovné byl využit v souladu s plánem pro jejich účast na konferencích a studijních pobytech. Dílčí cíle předložené v aplikaci byly splněny. Výsledkem řešení je 30 publikací v časopisech s IF s dedikací projektu. (cs)
