Description
  • There are circa 250 harvesters and 360 forwarders operating. Therefore harvester technology is concerned in felling & skidding operations of 25 -30 %. Optimization of harvesters and forwarders efficiency in incidental fellings in various production conditions is the goal of the project. Thus the project is focused on the elaboration of efficiency standards, which have not been prepared for harvester technology yet. Optimal efficiency is proposed on the basis of norms according to production conditions and on the achievement of minimum number of injured trees. Programming of general models for harvester technology is the major project output and it can be used for determination of the efficiency in particular production conditions and for determination of the optimal-efficiency in sense of acceptable work purity.
