Description	In the experimental study, we will morphologically and immunohistochemically analyze the structural changes in the airway mucosa and pulmonary tissue and changes in the expression of several factors participating in the remodeling of bronchial walls. We will use rats of the Brown Norway strain, in which we will provoke chronic asthma-like symptoms by sensitization. We will study the rats of two age groups. We will compare the results found in the slowly sensitized rats with those of non-sensitized or only shortly sensitized groups. We will analyze the results of all studies trying to find common mechanisms of the airway wall remodeling. We suppose the differences in the level of the airway remodeling and in the expression of some factors between young and adult rats. The knowledge of the timing of changes in airways during the development of the bronchial asthma and factors influencing these changes will reflect directly on the approach to remodeling changes found in human patients. (en) V experimentální studii budeme morfologicky analyzovat strukturální i ultrastrukturální změny sliznice dýchacích cest a plicní tkáně a změny v expresi některých tkáňových a buněčných působků účastnících se procesu remodelace bronchiální stěny. Použijeme potkany kmene Brown Norway, u nichž vyvoláme pomocí senzibilizace příznaky modelující chronické bronchiální astma. Budeme srovnávat potkany dvou věkových skupin. Nálezy u pomalu sensibilizovaných zvířat budeme srovnávat s nálezy u nesenzibilizovaných nebo jen krátkodobě senzibilizovaných zvířat. Výsledky všech studií budeme analyzovat s cílem nalézt společné mechanismy remodelace bronchiální stěny. Domníváme se, že nalezneme rozdíly v úrovni remodelace dýchacích cest a v expresi různých faktorů mezi mladými a dospělými potkany. Znalost časové posloupnosti změn v dýchacích cestách při rozvoji bronchiálního astmatu a faktorů, které se na vzniku těchto změn podílejí, se odrazí v přístupu k hodnocení remodelačních změn, které nalézáme u lidských pacientů.
