Description
  • The aim of the project is to use and compare various methods to test non-porous membranes suitable for gas separation and pervaporation. The effect of swelling or addition of low molecular compounds has considerable influence on transport of small molecules through polymers. The additives can change solubility factor – decrease it in the case of non-polar gases or increase it in the case of condensable gases or vapors. Hence considerable change in solubility selectivity can be reached. On the other hand additives change also diffusion rate of small molecules. Changed mobility of polymer chains results in changes in diffusion selectivity. Suitable combination of both above effects enable us improve overall performance of membranes. (en)
  • Polymerní neporézní membrány pro separace plynů a pervaporace budou charakterizovány a srovnávány. Zbotnání nebo přídavek nízkomolekulárních látek ovlivňují transport malých molekul přes polymery. Aditiva mohou změnit rozpustnost – snížit pro případ nepolárních plynů nebo zvýšit v případě kondenzovatelných plynů a par. Dále mohou aditiva ovlivnit difusivitu malých molekul tím, že změní mobilitu polymerních řetězců. Vhodnou kombinací obou zmiňovaných efektů je možné dosáhnout zvýšení separační účinnosti membrán, což je cílem tohoto projektu. (cs)
