Cílem tohoto projektu je odhalit a objasnit fenotyp, četnost, vývoj, aktivační potenciál, lokalizaci a rozmanitost receptorů pro T a B lymfocyty v IPP prasete a jakou roli hraje v tomto ohledu antigenní stimulace, kolonizace trávícího traktu a výživa. (cs)
Pigs are hoofed mammals like sheep, cattle and horses: species in which gene conversion events and diversification of B cell repertoire is expected due to occurrence of Ileal Peyers Patches (IPP) and limitation in VH genes coding variable region of antibodies. In spite of these finding, porcine IPP may have play a critical role in diversification of B cell repertoire and generation of new B cells. However, our previous data indicates that the bone marrow in swine is highly active in B cell lymphogenesis during the fetal period and that the chimeric VH rearrangements resembling gene conversion product can be explained as PCR artifacts. Unfortunately, all recent conclusions regarding porcine IPP are at hypothetical level as they have been extrapolated from work in sheep. The role of IPP in swine is not resolved yet because it has not been carefully studied. The central aim of this project is to study the role of swine IPP in B cell diversification and to characterize B and T cell subsets in this organ. (en)
