  • Projekt je veden snahou vytvořit podmínky pro koordinované zajištění zdrojové báze typu periodik v klasické i elektronické verzi z hlediska technického a přírodovědného VaV klíčové a na jejím základě a s využitím mezinárodních služeb typu document delivery poskytovat široký repertoár kvalitativně vyšších informačních služeb vč. meziknihovních, reprografických a digitálních. Pro tento účel je navrhováno vybudování kooperačního systému Virtuální polytechnické knihovny, pracujícího na základě multifunkčního centra informačních služeb, decentralizovaného, oborově a druhově specializovaného a koordinovaně vytvářeného fondu periodik, disponujícího příslušným informačním aparátem a vhodnou technikou a technologiemi.   • The project seeks to establish conditions for co-ordinated procurement of periodical resources both in traditional and electronic version which are crucial for technology- and science-oriented R&D and provide on this basis a wide array of higher-quality information services including interlibrary, copying and digital ones while using international document delivery services as well. For this purpose it is proposed to establish an co-operative system of the Virtual Polytechnic Library working on the basis of multifunctional centre of information services together with co-operative development of decentralized collection of periodicals specialized by subject and document type. The system will be equipped with an appropriate information tools and suitable technology. (en)
