Description	Social and legal protection of children is a complex activity. It includes activities both in the direct contact with clients and in the sphere of prevention, education, cultivation, legal activities etc. Functions of workers of the social and legal protection of children authorities (SLPCA) are widely different and thus it is difficult to quantify them. Clients (i.e. children and their families) face different serious situations which need different degree and duration of intervention. So far no norm has been stated concerning a number of clients of one social worker at SLPCA that ensures a quality protection. The research subject is a survey of a capacity utilization of workers of SLPCA at municipalities with extended powers. The survey deals with quantification and qualification of all operations performed within the framework of the social and legal protection of children. It will be worked out both from the point of view of activities defined by law and from the point of view of praxis. (en) Sociálně-právní ochrana dětí je komplexní činnost. Zahrnuje aktivity jak v oblasti přímé práce s klienty, tak v oblasti prevence, osvěty, právních aktivit, administrativy, vzdělávání apod. Úkony vykonávané pracovníky/pracovnicemi orgánů sociálně právní ochrany (dále OSPOD) jsou velmi různorodé a je velmi obtížné je kvantifikovat. Klienti (tj. nezletilé děti a jejich rodiny) řeší různě závažné situace vyžadující různou míru a délku intervence. Doposud nikdy nebyl žádným způsobem kvalifikovaně stanoven počet klientů, jimž je možno zajistit kvalitní sociálně-právní ochranu jedním pracovníkem OSPOD. Předmětem výzkumu je zmapování vytíženosti pracovníků/pracovnic orgánů sociálně-právní ochrany dětí na úrovni obcí s rozšířenou působností ve smyslu kvantifikace a kvalifikace všech úkonů vykonávaných v rámci sociálně-právní ochrany dětí, a to jak z hlediska činností definovaných zákonem, tak z hlediska samotné praxe.
