Hydrogen bonding between anion and amide plays important role in the bonding and recognition in natural bonding domains of proteins. There are not known great amount of molecules based on the amides for complexation of anions in the case of artificial receptors. It is possible to activate amide bond by proper method for the interaction with the anions. The influence of substituents on the ability to interact with anions was earlier examined in the our laboratory. It was prepared and examined complexation features of compounds bearing on the both sides of amide bond electronically poor substituents and on the contrary electronically rich substituents. Substituents have influence on the bonding power of anions by the increasing and on the contrary by the decreasing of density of the electrons. How the influence of bonding power affect chiral recognition is not yet known. Similar type of receptors are ureas and thioureas, which can create two hydrogen bonds and therefore they are bonding (en)
