  • Cílem řešení projektu je výzkum mikrostrukturních vláken a optických prvků budoucích vysokorychlostních přenosových systemů, jako je kompenzátor disperze na bázi záporné chromatické disperze indukované ve fotonickém krystalu ohybem. (cs)
  • This project deals with the research in the area of quantum structures and investigating microstructure optical components of high-speed transmission systems, such as dispersion compensating fiber based on negative chromatic dispersion resulting from fiber bending, done for assumed tolerance to deviation of bending radius and for chosen configuration of air holes to obtain interesting properties at the wavelength 1550nm. A deep study of bending losses, mode distortion and coupling between fundamental and cladding modes will be studied with a view to requirements of optical systems. It is theoretically possible to obtain giant negative dispersion by fiber bending (thousands of ps/nm/km) at a large effective mode area. Detailed mode and nonlinear dispersion profile of photonic crystal fibers will be developed by full-vectorial FDFD method. It is possible to design fiber that is not sensitive to bending or to tune operating wavelength of dispersion compensating fiber by suitable choise of bending by winding on a reel.
