| - Cílem projektu je ověřit hypotézy doktorských prací týkající se molekulárních mechanismů růstu, zrání, aktivace a stárnutí oocytů, jejich fertilizace a raného embryonálního vývoje, zrání spermií, kapacitace a akrozomální reakce, vazby na zona pellucida a vliv endokrinních disruptorů na tyto procesy. - The biotechnologies of reproduction have developed during the last two decades. This concerned both reproduction of farm animals (e.g. fertilization in vitro, cloning) and assisted human reproduction (e.g. IVF, ICSI). The aim of the project is to verify the hypotheses of PhD theses dealing with the following topics: the role of selected kinases in the growth and acquiring of meiotic competence in relation with the stage of folicullar development, in the maturation, activation and ageing of oocytes, their fertilization and early embryonal development; the effect of functional properties of oocytes and sperms on the process of fertilization; the role of molecular mechanisms of sperm maturation in epididymis, sperm capacitation, acrosomal sperm reaction, sperm binding on zona pellucida, and the effect of endocrine disruptors on these processes. Another aim of the project is to improve the integration of PhD students into scientific projects dealing with the gametes at participating institutions, as well as to improve the scientific education of PhD students by cooperation between the participating institutions. The resultes of these studies will bring new informations important for the developement of modern biotechnologies used in the reproduction of farm animal, as well as in assisted human reproduction.
