Description	Projekt zkoumá nové rezidenční sociálně prostorové formace, jako například tzv. gated communities, koncentrace imigrantů a sociálně zranitelných a vyloučených obyvatel, které vznikají v Česku od počátku 90. let v souvislosti s politickými a ekonomickými transformacemi. Cílem projektu je porozumět, jak jsou nové sociálně-prostorové formace utvářené a jak se vyvíjí. Smyslem je podchytit hlavní mechanismy segregace s důrazem na vliv dobrovolné separace a nedobrovolné segregace. Zejména se pak soustředí na vztahy uvnitř nových sociálně-prostorových formací a vztahy vůči ostatním sociálním skupinám mimo tyto formace. Pozornost je věnována místním i národním praktikám a politikám, které segregaci ovlivňují. Výzkum reflektuje širší společenský kontext zejména s ohledem na transformační procesy a globalizaci. Projekt dále diskutuje vliv existence a růstu sociálně-prostorových formací na sociální soudržnost. (cs) The project investigates new residential socio-spatial formations, such as gated communities, concentrations of immigrants and socially deprived populations, which have emerged in Czechia since the radical political and economic reforms of the early 1990s. The project aims to understand how these new socio-spatial formations are created and how they evolve. We intend to reveal the mechanisms of aggregation and depict what is the role of voluntary separation and involuntary segregation. In particular, the project focuses on the relations within socio-spatial formation and relations with the other social groups external to the formation itself. It also traces local government practices and national government policies which influence segregation and creation of new socio-spatial formations. The investigation is framed into wider social context with a particular reference to transition and globalization. It aims to understand how the social processes influence the formation of such social concentrations and how does their existence impact social cohesion. (en)
