Description	The research will be focused on the elucidation the etiology of the full blossom disease of red currant described by Rakús (1974). Biological and genetic characterisation of causal agent(s) of this frequently occurring disease of currants will be conducted. The main effort will be concentrated on: 1) elucidation the role of phytoplasma in the full blossom disease, 2) study in possible involvement of viruses, including the black currant reversion virus, in full blossom disease, 3) graft transmission experiments to prove that the disease is contagious and not a physiological or genetic disorder, 4) monitoring the occurrence of the disease in currants, to obtain fundamental data applicable in future programs, leading to the eradication ofthis economically important disease, which has been reported only from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. (en) Výzkum bude zaměřen na objasnění etiologie choroby zvané plnokvětost červeného rybízu (Rakús 1974). Bude zjištěna biologická a genetická identita původce(ů) této choroby rybízů. Hlavní úsilí bude soustředěno na: 1) objasnění role fytoplazem v etiologii plnokvětosti, 2) studium virových infekcí, včetně viru zvratu černého rybízu, které by se mohly podílet na vzniku choroby, 3) na experimentální přenos roubováním na zdravé rybízy, které může prokázat, že jde o infekční chorobu a nikoliv o fyziologickou či genetickou odchylku, 4) sledování výskytu choroby na rybízech s cílem získat základní poznatky pro budoucí programy eradikace této ekonomicky významné choroby, která byla dosud zjištěna pouze na území ČR a Slovenska.
