Description	Projekt Les a stromy v lidové kultuře Českých zemí raného novověku - hmotná kultura je zaměřen na komplexní dokumentaci a analýzu materiálních funkcí lesa a stromů v tradiční kultuře Čech, Moravy a Slezska v předindustriálním období. Jedná se o vůbec první projekt takového typu u nás, jehož cílem je poznat a s ohledem na četné zahraniční výzkumy tohoto tématu náležitě interpretovat roli lesa v subsistenčních aktivitách rurálních komunit (les jako zdroj surovin, problematika lesních řemesel, agrární aktivity vázané na lesní ekosystémy). Projekt zahrne i přípravné studium mentalitních a sociálních rolí lesa v raněnovověké společnosti. V projektu, který se časově orientuje na 16.-19. století, budou zohledněny i celkové proměny kulturní krajiny a lesních biomů ve střední Evropě s důrazem na impakt lidské činnosti na jejich vývoj. Teoreticky a metodologicky projekt vychází z přístupů etnografie lesa a historické antropologie a počítá s interdisciplinární spoluprací s přírodovědnými obory. (cs) The project aims for complex documentation and analysis of material role of forests and trees in traditional culture of the Czech lands in the pre-industrial era (16th to 19th century). It is a first project of this kind realized in the Czech Republic. The main goal is to discover and – with respect to numerous similar foreign projects – also to interpret properly the role of the forest in subsistence activities of rural communities (forest as a source of materials, the problem of so called forest trades, agrarian activities related to forest ecosystems). The project will include also preliminary study of mental and social role of forest in Early Modern society. Within the frame of the project will also be taken into consideration the general problem of development and change of cultural landscape and forest biomes, with special regard to the impact of human activities to these developments. Theoretical basis for the project forms forest ethnography as well as historical anthropology. (en)
